Happy Birthday Gracie! (a little early...)
My daughters birthday is in 2 weeks, but our grandparents won't be in town, so we had a party today for her. I was lucky enough to have a few flowers left over from a wedding cake I did yesterday to make the perfect cake for the occasion. She loved it so much that she leaned over and took a big bit right out of the side. And then said "mmm cake!"

Take Flight!
I have the best helper in all the world. She does so much for me to make it possible to be a great mom and still make cakes. She wanted to do something special for a good friend of hers and so she asked if I would stand by while she made a cake for her. First solo flight! I think that she did a great job and I only helped a little. Once again, I must say, that there is elegance in simplicity. I really like the clean lines and the pop of red with the roses. PS... Costco has great flowers if you need something simple like this.

Black and White
First of all, I am in love with this bow. I have never used this wide of ribbon before, but, I love how it turned out. And, I like the 2 different shapes too.
Secondly, this bride wanted a true black and white wedding. Everything was black and white. She even asked her guests to wear black and white. I saw the beginnings of things and a few guests strolling in and I can only imagine the effect that a whole crowd all in black and white would have. Way cool! Its all in the details. And that is one detail that cost her nothing, but had a HUGE effect!
