Happy Birthday Gracie! (a little early...)

My daughters birthday is in 2 weeks, but our grandparents won't be in town, so we had a party today for her. I was lucky enough to have a few flowers left over from a wedding cake I did yesterday to make the perfect cake for the occasion. She loved it so much that she leaned over and took a big bit right out of the side. And then said "mmm cake!"

Turning one is so FUN!

It only happens once is a person's life! Turning one! There are so many things that you can do to add fun and flare to your babies party and a fun cake is one. Thanks to our dear friend for letting us be a small part of this special day!

Having another cake that your baby can crawl through is a great idea. Then you have something that is all their own and no body has to eat the cake they've demolished. McKenzie Hansen took this great photo, if you are looking for someone fabulous! She just did our fantastic family pictures!

Happy Birthday "Love Bug!"

Yes, it is true. This is my daughters 1st birthday cake. I don't know how I am going to keep up with this, but what a way to start. We had a really fun time. I made a smaller lady bug that is in the bottom corner of the top picture that she crawled through and then we served the big one. This cake could easily be made into a smaller version, even one layer. First birthdays are always fun and having a great cake adds to the excitment!
